An Analysis of Teachers Classroom Management in Online Teaching Class at SMAN 16 Bone

Teachers are key figures in the learning process. They fundamentally affected
the progress or deficiencies of students to achieved the desired results. Teachers
played a very important role in educational practiced because teachers carry out the
teaching and learning process, which is one of the cored of educational activities. In
addition to played their role, teachers also need strategies and methods to maintained
a favorable classroom environment so that students can succeed in the learning
process and achieved their learning goals. The purposed of this research is to
understand how the SMAN 16 Bone English teacher class was managed. The
designed of this study is a descriptive qualitative study. The object of this research is
an English teacher of SMAN 16 Bone at year academic 2020/2021. Collecting data
have been done through observations, interviews, and questionnaires. Based on
observations, English teachers performed elements related to classroom management,
such as the creation and maintenance of student activities by teachers, to improved
teaching efficiency and achieve learning goals even when teaching online. According
to the results of the interview, the English teacher conducted classroom management
in the best possible way. The teacher‟s method described how students acquired their
language knowledge and took good actions related to classroom management
conditions, which not only physically encourages successful language learning but
also the mentality of students. According to the results of the questionnaire, most
students liked to participated in teaching activities in the classroom teaching and
learning process. Finally, it can be concluded that the SMAN 16 Bone English
teacher class is well managed. According to the results of observations, interviews,
and questionnaire surveys, the teachers performed their duties in-class activities.
A. Conclusion
The classroom management in the teaching-learning process at SMAN 16
Bone runs well and is optimal, so the study processed can took place effectively and
efficiently. In the learning process of English, teachers applyed and made teaching
preparation to made the learning process effective and efficient. In addition, the way
that teachers do opened lessons always provides the motivation that can aroused
student enthusiasm for learning.
The teaching preparation made by the English teacher including a lesson plan
and selected material. The lesson plan made by the teacher is considered relevant and
related with among core competency, based competency, indicator purpose of
learning, pre-activity, core activity, last activity, the tools of learning, source of
learning, and evaluation where explanation from each learning objective.
Implementation of teacher-students interaction built complies, the teacher
creates atmosphere warmly and enthusiastic is necessary for the learning process. It is
supposed to made students felt confident if they want to asked a question to the
teachers. Although, nowadays teaching-learning run online and the media to study
have limited accessed because used WhatsApp as media to learn.
Teachers are required to be very creative in the online classroom so that
students are not bored and students are enjoyed followed the lesson. To achieved
effective classroom management and avoided saturation of learners. Teachers made
students to be disciplined in the classroom, so the learning process can ran well, so
that conflicted and violence in the classroom can be resolved. Students become
obedient and respectful towards the teacher but till enjoy, so there is no heavy
obstacle facing the teacher.
B. Suggestion
1. The English Teacher
Teachers have implemented the implementation of learning in the
classroom well, it is expected that teachers can maintain effective and
efficient classroom management as has been done, to become an explained
for other teachers.
2. The Researcher
Researchers have done as much as possible to completed this research
well, but there are still many shortcomings and errors in this study,
therefore researchers expected positive advice from readers of this thesis.
