The Use of Outdoor Learning Strategy in Improving Students Descriptive Text at the Second Grade of SMAN 13 Bone

The objective of this researcher was to find out whether or not the use of outdoor
learning strategy in improving students writing descriptive text. This research was a
pre-experiment method where the students that become a sample were the seventh
Grade of SMAN 13 Bone in academic year 2022/2023 that was full the requirements
decided. The researcher collected the data by using test (pre-test, test and post-test).
the final result of this research shows that through the tests as the use of outdoor
learning strategy proved that the strategy that used has an improvement. It is
supported by the students’ mean score and standard deviation both in pre-test and
post-test. The mean score of students’ pre-test was 69,2 and in post-test was 77,1. The
students’ standard deviation of pre-test was 5.7 and the post-test was 4.5. It shows
that the mean score of post-test was higher than the mean score in pre-test
(77,1>69,2). Thus, it said that there was improvement in students’ writing
competence using outdoor learning strategy
A. Conclusion
Based on the research question, the final result of this research shows that
through the tests as the use of outdoor learning strategy proved that the strategy

B. Suggestion
Based on the conclusion above, the researcher put some suggestion as
follows:
1. For English Teacher
For English teachers, the results of this study are expected to be used as
a new innovation to improve students' writing by using outdoor learning
strategy.
2. For Students
For students, this research is expected to be a form of insight to be
applied in everyday life, especially to improve their writing.
3. For Researcher
For the following research, the researcher expects there will be an
innovative way to improve writing.
