Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor ketidakminatan
siswa dalam belajar bahasa inggris.Di dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode
kualitatif, yang mana penulis ingin menganalisis faktor-faktor ketidakminatan
siswa dalam belajar bahasa inggris. Untuk mengumpulkan data, peneliti
menggunakan beberapa tekhnik yaitu : observasi dan wawancara. Untuk
menganalisis data peneliti menggunakan beberapa tekhnik yaitu : pengumpulan
data, tampilan data, dan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menemukan bahwa
faktor-faktor ketidakminatan siswa dalam belajar bahasa inggris yaitu : faktor
internal seperti motivasi intrinsik dari siswa itu sendiri dan faktor external seperti
metode mengajar guru yang kurang kreatif dan monoton. Adapun faktor lainnya
sepertimedia pembelajaran yang digunakan guru tidak beragam, metode dan
model pembelajaran yang sama, dan kurangnya umpan balik antara siswa dan
guru.
A. Conclusion
Based on the results of the data presentation and discussion in the previous
chapter, the researcher concludes. In answering the first researcher's previous
question, "What makes students disinterest in learning English?" The researcher
found the observation results concluded that internal factors such as intrinsic
motivation from the students themselves and external factors such as teacher
teaching methods that were less creative and monotonous were reasons that made
students not interested in learning English.
To support the results of the answers to the first research question, the
researcher concluded the results of the interview to answer the second research
question, namely "what strategies are used to increase student motivation in
learning English?". The results of the interview concluded that the learning media
used by the teacher were not diverse, the same learning methods and models, and
the lack of feedback between students and teachers were things that made students
less motivated in learning English.
B. Suggestion
Based on the research that was carried out, the researcher would like to
give some suggestion :
1. The English teachers
Based on this research, it is suggested that the teacher can encourage
students so that students are motivated in learning English. Then the teaching
methods and media of the teacher must also be more creative and not
monotonous, in the sense that the teacher can approach or involve students a lot
during the learning process, besides that the teacher can also give games that can
make students interested in learning English.
2. The students
Based on the results of the research above, students of SMAN 18 Bone,
especially class XI IIS 1, must have self-motivation to learn English and think
English is not a difficult subject so that little by little students can like this lesson.
Besides, students can also receive feedback from the teacher so that good
communication is established between the two.
3. The other Researcher
It is expected that the results of this study can provide information about
students' disinterest in learning English. Researchers hope that the results of this
study can inspire other researchers to conduct research related to the analysis of
the factors of students' disinterest in learning English to enrich existing research.
