Using Animation Movie for Developing Students’ Writing Skill at Eleventh Grade Students of SMAN 16 Bone

This thesis presents research about developing students’ skill in writing narrative text by using animation movie at eleventh grade in SMAN 16 Bone. rnThis research uses quantitative method with pre-experimental design. The researcher applied purposive sampling that consisted of 22 students. This research employed a test based on the problem statement investigated, it was writing test. Writing test consisted of pre-test was given to the students to know the students’ writing skill before using animaion movie and post-test was given to the students to know the students’ writing skill after using animaion movie, while the data obtains through tests were analyzed with mean score and the formula of t-test. The students were given the treatment by using animation movie. The result of the study showed that there was development adequately of the students’ skill after the treatment. From the data could be concluded that teaching writing by using animaion movie could adequately developed the students’ skill in writing narrative text at eleventh grade of SMAN 16 Bone in academic year 2017/2018.rnAfter several meetings, this research found out the used of animation movie adequately effective to develop the students writing skill. The result of this research showed : (1) The mean score obtained by the students through pre-test was 65,54 and post-test was 69,81. (2) The t-table value was higher than the t-test (2,080>-2.525). It means that there was a significant difference between the result of the students’ pre-test and post-test. It meant that null hypothesis (H0) was accepted and alternative hypothesis (H1) was rejected.rnConclusionrnBased on the result of finding and discussion in the previous chapter, the researcher concluded that using animation movie in teaching writing adequately developed the students’ skill in writing narrative text. It was based on the result of the research that had been done. It was supported by the result score in pre-test was 65,54, it was fair classification and post-test was 69,81, it was fairly good classification. Thus, the students’ achievement developed from fair to fairly good classification. The level of students’ achievement increased one level. So, it concluded that the used of animation movie adequately effective to develop the students writing skill of narrative text at the eleventh grade in SMA Negeri 16 Bone in academic year 2017/2018. rnSuggestionrnIn view of fact that the used of nimation movie in teaching writing as one of technique of teaching had been proved being in developing students’ writing skill, the researcher would liked to give suggestions as follows:rnFor the teachers :rnThe teachers should be creative to manage the material and the classroom for teaching writing skill such as using animation movie to develop students’ skill in writing.rnThe teachers should give aware to the students that learning writing is one of skills that important in English language.rnThe English teachers should apply this media as one of the ways to develop students’ writing skill to the English learning.rnFor the students :rnThe students of the eleventh grade in Senior High School have to develop their ability in English skills, especially in writing skill.rnThe students of the eleventh grade in Senior High School have to manage their time and try to study English seriously especially in writing skill.rnrn
