Describing the students’ Activity In English Classroom As A Foreign Language In MTs Ar Rahman Kaju

This thesis discusses research on student learning activities and problems
encountered while learning English in MTs Ar Rahman Kaju. As the development of
advanced technology, the need for English is increasing and becomes the obligation
of students, so researcher take problem statements about what are the activities of
students in learning English and student problems in learning English at MTS Ar
Rahman Kaju by using qualitative research by analyzing data using interpretation,
and classification of preferred learning activities and problems in learning English as
a foreign language.
Based on the statement above, the purpose of this study is to consider and
provide input in overcoming the difficulties that pose problems in teaching English.
The results showed that students were active in learning but some students had
difficulty students in learning English due to lack of vocabulary, difficulty making
correct sentences, and interpreting the contents of the message delivered. Researcher
can conclude there are some difficulties in teaching English as a foreign language.
A. Conclusion
Based on the data analysis and the discussion in the previous chapter, the
researcher concludes that:
Learning English as a foreign language requires perseverance and special skills.
Students not only study at school but must repeat lessons at home. Students must
learn to memorize more vocabulary words to find out the meaning of each word in
English. Each student has difficulty learning English differently. Students have a high
learning activity to understand English lessons. Students at MTs Ar Rahman Kaju
always try to appear active even though they have learning difficulties such as
difficulty speaking, writing, reading and listening.
B. Suggestions
Based on the conclusion above, the researcher stated the following suggestions:
1.For learners
Students should be more diligent in repeating lessons and memorize more
English vocabulary so that it is easier to learn English.
2.For teachers
Teachers must still guide their students to be able to learn English well.
