This thesis presents the research about Improving the students’ speakingrnability through fishbowl technique at the eleventh grade of SMKN 2 Watampone.rnThe problem statement of this thesis is: Does Fishbowl Techniquernimprove the students’ speaking ability?rnThis research employed pre-experimental method with pre-test and posttestrndesign. There were two variables they are independent variable (FishbowlrnTechnique) and dependent variable ( Students’ speaking ability).rnIn collecting the data, the researcher got the students’ data by using a testrnnamely speaking test to know the students’ ability in speaking English . After therndata was collected and the result of the test was obtained to prove the hypothesisrnand to establish the validity, the researcher analyzed the value of t-observation. Itrnwas proved by the result of students’ pre-test and post-test.rnThe table shows that the mean score was obtained by the students in thernpost-test (62,87) is greater than the mean score of the students in pre-test (41,37).rnIt means that H0 is rejected and H1 is acceptable. The result of this study provedrnthat Fishbowl Technique was significantly to improve the students’ ability tornspeak English. It was hoped for the teacher to use Fishbowl Technique in teachingrnEnglish.rnA. ConclusionrnBased on the result of analysis in the previous chapter, the researcher concludes that:rnLearning speaking by using Fishbowl Technique can improve students‟ speaking ability. It is proved by the result of the test that was given to the students. The result shows that the mean score that was obtained by the students in the post-test (62,87) is greater than the mean score of the students in pre-test (41,37). students‟ speaking ability improved after doing the treatment. So, it can be concluded that learning speaking by using Fishbowl Technique can improve the students‟ speaking ability of the eleventh grade of SMKN 2 Watampone.rnB. SuggestionrnThe writer gives suggest to all readers and especially for teachers and students that:.rnFor the improvement of the teaching English especially in teaching speaking English, the researcher suggests that the english teacher especially in teaching speaking should give the good technique in teaching English based on the learners‟ interest and their motivation to learn English. Learning English especially speaking by using Fishbowl technique can increase the students‟ speaking ability and Students should be better to use Fishbowl technique to improve their vocabulary by practicing it in learning speaking.rn
