This thesis presents research about Teaching Vocabulary by Using TextrnTwist Game in Laptop as a Media at the Tenth Grade of SMKN 2 Watampone.rnThis research used pre-experimental design. The researcher gave pre-test,rntreatment and post-test, where as data obtained through test scores were analyzedrnby using mean score and t-test formula.rnThe result shows that there is a significant increasing in students’rnachievement. It is provided in the table in chapter IV. The table indicates that thernt-test is obtained by the students is 13.05 and t-table is 2.030. The mean score ofrnpre-test is 60.37 and post-test is 75.75. It means that H0 is rejected and H1rnaccepted. In data collection author also provide a questionnaire consists of 20rnquestions that describe the characteristics of Text Twist game which shows that 24rnstudents (66.67%) choose the category of very high and 12 students (33.33%)rnchoose the high category. It means that students have a high interested in thisrngame.rnBased on the data can be known that the teaching vocabulary by usingrnText Twist game is effective to increase the students’ vocabulary mastery andrnstudents' interest in learning vocabulary.rnA. ConclusionrnBased on the result of analysis in the previous chapter, the researcherrnconcluded that:rn1. Using Text Twist game in teaching English vocabulary increase thernstudents’ vocabulary mastery. It was proved by the data of students’ scorernin pre-test and post-test before and after doing treatment. The mean scorernof pre-test was 60.37% and the mean score of post-test was 75.75%, andrnthe students’ achievement t-test was 13.05 and the students’ achievementrnt-table was 2.030. The students’ mean score of post-test was higher thanrnthe students’ mean score of pre-test and t-test was higher than t-table.rnThus, the researcher states that the use of Text Twist game was effectivernto increase students’ vocabulary mastery to the students of the tenth gradernat SMKN 2 Watampone.rn2. The tenth grade students of Teknik Multimedia at SMKN 2 Watamponernwere interested and enjoyed vocabulary lesson by using Text TwistrnGame.rnB. SuggestionrnIn view of fact that the use of Text Twist game in teaching Englishrnvocabulary as media of teaching has been proved being more effective inrnincreasing students’ vocabulary and the students’ interest in learning Englishrnvocabulary, the researcher would like to give suggestion as follow:rn1. The researcher hopes that this research can be the one of the referencesrnfor the further research dealing with vocabulary. The researcher alsornhopes that this research can give more information about teachingrnvocabulary by using Text Twist game in laptop.rn2. This research, the researcher used laptop as a media to play Text Twistrngame in teaching vocabulary. Therefore, for the further research will usernanother media like smartphone or android.
