The Influence of Pleasant Learning Situation Toward Students’ Writing Ability In Descriptive Text, The Study of The Second Grade of SMPN 2 Ulaweng

This thesis presents research about the influence of pleasant learning situation toward students’ writing ability in descriptive text, the case study of the second grade of SMPN 2 Ulaweng.rnThe problem statement is: Is the pleasant learning situation influence toward students’ writing ability in descriptive text? There were two variables they were independent variable (the pleasant learning situation) and dependent variable (the students’ writing ability in descriptive text). The researcher used quantitative method. The researcher used cluster sampling technique and took 20 students as the sample. This research used two instruments. They were writing test and questionnare.rnThe result of the questionnare about pleasant situation showed that it included in the moderate category which was interval score 65-67 with an average value of 65,85. The calssification on the result of writing test about students’ writing ability in descriptive text showed that 80% in good classification and 20% in very good classification.rnThe hypothesis testing used the regression anlysis one predictor. The result of analysis regression showed that there was positive and significant influence of the pleasant learning situation toward students’ writing ability in descriptive text of the VIII A class at Smp Negeri 2 Ulaweng. It showed Freg =10,37>Ftable(0,01;1,18)=8,29 and Freg = 10,37>Ftable(0,05;1,18)=4,41. It means that H0 was rejected and H1 was acceptable. The pleasant learning situation gave the better result toward students’ writing ability in descriptive text. In other words, the pleasant learning situation was effective and could be influence students’ writing ability.rnA.ConclusionrnBased on the data analysis on the discussion, the researcher concludes that the pleasant learning situation is effective in students’ writing ability. It can be seen that the result included in the modeate category which was in the interval score with an average value of 65,85 and about the result of the classification writing test that showed 80% in good classification and 20% in very good classification. Then, the result of the analysis hypothesis by the regresion analysis that showed the significant Freg = 10,37>Ftable = 8,29 (on the level of 0,01), Freg + 10,37>Ftable + 4,41 (on the level of 0,05) and there was positive influence of the pleasant learning situation toward students’ writing ability in descriptive text in VIII A class at SMP Negeri 2 Ulaweng.rnB.SuggestionrnIn relation to the subject discussed in this thesis and the researcher presents suggestion as follow:rnThe teacher is expected to know that the pleasant situation can be references in teaching writing as one alternatives teaching technique and it is not only in teaching writing but also for the other skill.rnrnrnrn
