Students’ Motivation in Learning English by Using Audio Lingual Method at the First Year of MTs Al-Faaizun

This thesis presents research about Students’ Motivation by Using Audio Lingual Method in Learning English at the first year in MTs Al-Faaizun. rnThis research used qualitative descriptive method. The sample consisted of 25 students from one group of students of the seventh class of MTs Al-Faaizun. The researcher gave interview, questionnaire, and the researcher observed after giving interview. Interview applied on August 2016 to all the student of VII B. The technique used for getting information about the implementation of Audio Lingual Method in Learning English that the students like and interest to learn. Observation to be apply to the students at seventh class on August till October 2016. Observation to be applied in MTs Al-Faaizun to know the implementation of Audio Lingual Method in learning English. Questionnaire gave on September 2016 to 25 students. Questionnaire applied for getting information about the students’ motivation in learning English by using Audio Lingual Method.rnThe result of the study shown that the students of the VII B are highly motivated if the teacher used Audio Lingual Method in learning English. From the data could be concluded that teaching English by using Audio Lingual Method could give positive to known to motivate student in learning English of the seventh class of MTs Al-Faaizun.rnA.ConclusionrnBased on the result and data analysis in the previous chapter, the researcher concludes that: rn1.Audio Lingual Method have been applied in MTs Al-Faaizun. It is proved by the result of interview and observation. The implementation is proved based on their answer in interview and observation which has liker. There several teaching that applied, they are: question and answer technique, answering question quickly technique, completing dialogue technique, change sentence to different form and play role of dialogue read out by the teacher. rn2.The students’ motivation in learning English by using Audio Lingual Method is high. Based on the result that 12% student’s are very high motivation and 56% student’s are highly motivated. It’s mean that 68% of students are motivated.rnB.SuggestionsrnThe researcher gives suggestion to all readers and especially for teachers, lectures or instructors that:rn1.The teacher should be creative to manage the material, the method, the classroom for teaching English such as using Audio Lingual Method.rn2.The teacher should be creative in applying teaching method to motivate the student in learning English. rn rnrn
