This thesis presents research about the students’ ability to complete dictationrnof the seventh years of MTS Al-Faaisun Watampone. The problem statement is: Howrnis the student’s ability to complete dictation of the seventh years of MTS Al-FaaizunrnWatampone?rnThis research used quantitative descriptive, the quantitative descriptive isrnapply a description of the result of complete dictation in conversation in a process ofrnthe students’ ability to mastery the vocabulary in completing dictation.rnThe population of this research was the seventh years of MTS Al-Faaisun inrnacademic years 2016/2017 which consists of 72 students. The sample consists of 24rnstudents from class VIIB of the second years of MTS Al-Faaisun. The research wasrngive test by complete dictation to know the students’ ability to complete dictationrntest.rnThe result of the study to know the students’ ability by complete dictation andrnthe test in this research, the students got score was fairly good (67,49) in completingrndictation.rnA. ConclussionrnBased on data analysis on the discussion, the reseacher concluded thatrnafter complete dictation in the students’ ability to mastery the vocabulary was notrnsatisfying. It can be seen that after the students do the test about completerndictation got fairly good (67, 49) score. it is provided by the data that all of thernstudents almost success, no one students got excellent, only two student got veryrngood, seven students got good, one student got fairly good, seven students gotrnfairly and seven students got poor with mean score of the students’ test wasrn67, 49. So the students’ ability to complete dictation test by using vocabulary wasrnnot satisfying.rnB. SuggestionrnIn relation to the subject discussed in this thesis and in order to know thernstudents ability to complete dictation, the researcher present some suggestion asrnfollows:rn1. The students of the seventh years of MTS Al-faaisun should improve theirrnabilities, skills in English, especially, vocabulary ability as like as they need.rnThe students of the seventh years of MTS Al-faaisun ought to masterrnvocabulary.rn2. The English teachers could complete dictation to know the students’ abilityrnin vocabulary mastery.
