This thesis presents the research about the Improving Students’ Reading Achievement by Using Stimulation Technique. The way to collected data is by using pre-experimental method with pretest and post-test design. The tests, pre test and post test, were given to measure the students’ reading achievement before and after treatment. Based on the findings and the data analyzing, the researcher draws conclusion that after using Stimulation Technique at SMP Negeri 1 Watampone is effective to improving the students’ reading achievement. It can be proved by the mean score of post test was higher than the mean score in pre test (82,9688 > 77,8125). It also can be proved by the sig.(2-tailed) of paired sample t test is 0,000 < 0,05. So, it said that there was improving in students’ reading comprehension achievement after applying Stimulation Technique.rnA.ConclusionrnBased on the findings and the data analyzing in the preceding chapter , the researcher draws conclusion that after using Stimulation Technique in Improving Reading Achievement at SMP Negeri 1 Watampone is effective to develop the students’ reading achievement. It can be seen that the students’ prior knowledge of reading before applying Stimulation Technique was still low, it was proved the data that the most of students fairly good score classification with mean score of students’ pre test was 77,8125 but after the researcher applied Stimulation Technique in the classroom, the mean score of students’ post test have ascending, it was 82,9688. rnB.Suggestions rnIn view of fact that the application stimulation technique, has been proved in building up the students’ reading achievement, the researcher would like to give suggestions as follows: rn1.For the teacher : rna.The teacher is expected to know that stimulation technique can be reference in teaching Reading as one alternative teaching technique and it is not only in teaching Reading but also for the others skill. rnb.English teachers should enchance their knowledge and their ability in teaching. They should use an interesting technique to attract students’ attention and make the students learn comfortable and relaxed.rn2.For the students: rnThe students of the seventh grade at SMP Negeri 1 Watampone have to enhance their ability and should be more active in read reading text in order to have more knowledge.rnrnrn
