This research aims to determine The Effectiveness of Cake Application as
an English Language Learning Tool to Improve Indonesian Senior High School
Speaking Skills. This method of research is quantitative research with experimental
design. The sample of this research was class XI with a total of 34 students, which
was selected using a convenience sampling technique. The data collection
technique was carried out by giving instructions to speaking about narrative text.
Researcher gave pre-test, treatment, and post-test for students. The research results
show that after used the Cake Application it can improve students’ speaking skills.
From the results, the average pre-test score in class XI I was 38,71. However, after
going thought treatment using Cake Application in learning, an average post-test
score of 57,05. This shows that the use of Cake Application improves students'
speaking skills. This can also be seen from the t-test results which show
