This research aims to determine the achievement of students' English skill in term
of reading with the Instagram. This research was conducted using quantitative
research method with Pre-Experimental research. Data were collected from 30
students of XI IPA 1 of SMA 9 Bone. Data collection is done by using a reading
test; pre- test and post-test as instrument. Test was carried out to see whether the
Instagram in learning reading skill. The result of data analysis showed that in the
test, the pre-test average score was only 43,50 and the post-test average score was
60,50. This shows that the class that used the Instagram shows a significant
improvement. Meanwhile the result of t-test. Alternative Hypothesis (Ha). The
use of instagram in learning reading skill is effective to the students achievement
in learning reading skill. Alternative Hypothesis is accepted if sig.(2-tails)
