The objective of the research is to observe the students’ obstacles in learning online
from home during the pandemic covid 19 era at SMPN 8 Watampone. The research
was undertaken as qualitative design with observation, interview, and documentation.
The subject of the research was SMPN 8 Watampone, especially the eighth grade.
The sample of the research is taken by using the purposive sampling technique, the
research takes 29 students. The sample is selected based on the students’ ability and
participation in the learning process. So, it can provide accurate information about
this researcher. This researcher uses the method of observation, interview, and
documentation. As the researcher’s observation, online learning from home has some
obstacles such as due to the lack of student responses, the teacher is more dominantly
active in the classroom during the learning process. during the teaching and learning
process, there were only one or two students who actively asked if there were
materials or assignments that were still poorly understood because some other
students were constrained by cellphones and networks. As the problem solving, the
teacher created a different atmosphere every day and also use different learning
methods.
A. Conclusion
Based on the presentation of data and data analysis described in chapter
III, the researcher can finally provide conclusions about The Students’ obstacles
in learning online from home during the pandemic covid-19 era at the eighth
grade of SMPN 8 Watampone. As the researcher’s observation, online learning
