This thesis presents research about The Influence of Microteaching Class for Students’ Performance on Teaching Practice at the Eighth Semester Students of English Study Program STAIN Watampone. This research uses quantitative method. The sample consisted of 24 students from four groups of students of the eighth semester English Study Program of STAIN Watampone. The samples are chosen from four groups randomly.
The result of the study shows that there is a significant influence of the microteaching class and students’ performance on teaching practice. The result is proved by the differences between the microteaching score and students’ performance on teaching practice and it could be seen rxy is higher than rtable.
Based on the data could be known that microteaching class influences the students’ performance on teaching practice at the eighth semester students of English Study Program of STAIN Watampone.
A.Conclusion
Based on the result of analysis in the previous chapter, the researcher concludes that microteaching class influence the students’ performance on teaching practice. It is based on the result of the research that has been done. It is supported by the result score in microteaching and students’ performance on teaching practice. The students’ score of microteaching class and students’ performance influence each other. And the statements of the samples in interview said that microteaching class is important to train the teacher candidates before doing teaching practice at school. So, that the microteaching class influence the students’ performance on teaching practice at the eighth semester students of English Study Program STAIN Watampone.
B.Suggestion
In view of fact that the microteaching class is an important subject that should the students pass before they do teaching practice, the researcher would like to give suggestions that the committee of teaching practice should monitor the assessement of the students’ teaching practice at school.
