The Use of Quizizz Application in EFL Online Learning to Increase Student’s Motivation in doing Formative Test at Eleventh Grade of SMAN 14 Bone

This research discusses the use of Quizizz application in EFL online learning
to increase student‟s motivation in doing formative test at eleventh grade of
SMAN 14 Bone. The researcher applies a pre-experimental design with a two
groups pre-test and post-test. The research was a quantitative research and the
used instrument is a questionnaire. There are two variables in this research; they
are the independent variable and the dependent variable, while the independent
variable the use of Quizizz application and the dependent variable in this research
is students' learning motivation.The population of the research was students of
class XI at SMAN 14 Bone for the 2023/2024 academic year, totaling 239
students. The research sample consisted of 25 students taken by using cluster
random sampling, there were 25 students in class XI MIPA 1 and the participant
is 16 students. From the results of this research, based on the t value it is known
that the t-count value is 21,213 and the t-table for 16 respondents is 1.753, so
44.94> 29.94 there is an significant of using Quizizz on the learning motivation of
class XI MIPA 1 students at SMAN 14 Bone.
A. Conclusion
The students motivation in doing formative test increased by using Quizizz
application in EFL online learning at eleventh grade of SMAN 14 Bone as for the
conclusions obtained from the results of this study, based on the t value it is
known that the t-count value is 21,213 and the t-table for 16 respondents is 1.753,
so 44.94> 29.94 there is an significant of using Quizizz on the learning motivation
of class XI MIPA 1 students at SMAN schools 14 Bone. Thus there is an
significant of using Quizizz on student learning motivation and it can be
concluded that the better the use of Quizizz, the better student motivation.
Therefor it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between the
influence of Quizizz on the learning motivation of class XI MIPA 1 students at
SMAN 14 Bone school. It can also be concluded that the better the Quizizz-based
learning media, the better student motivation. However, apart from all that, the
use of the Quizizz application as an effective learning medium can be achieved if
the teacher pays attention to the needs, deficiencies and differences of students or
students. In addition, it is also not only focused on the Quizizz application, but
also empowers other applications to support the continuity of the learning process.
B. Suggestion
As for the suggestions that the researcher wants to convey in this study is :
1. Provide opportunities for teachers to be able to develop and utilize existing
facilities in the school environment, so that teachers can provide interesting
innovations for students other than in the classroom and students can play a
more active role and participate in the learning process.
2. So that teachers can use Quizizz learning media and various other learning
media, so that the learning process becomes fun and not monotonous, so that
teachers can provide more motivation to students and in the end can increase
student learning motivation which is getting better.
3. Students are expected to always be active and motivated in the process
learning and not just waiting for an explanation from the teacher. In
addition, students are expected to be able to build strong motivation from
within the students themselves to repeat the previous material and study the
next material independently in order to achieve good and desirable learning.
