Improving students’ regular and irregular verb by using last man standing game

This thesis discusses about teaching regular and irregular verb by using last man
standing game at the eleventh grade students of SMK N 3 Bone academic year
2023/2024. The study aims to find out the effect of using last man standing game to
improve students’ regular and irregular verb at the eleventh grade of SMK N 3 Bone.
This research employed quantitative approach. Quantitative approach provided a
strong quality of data in the field and provide clear data on the research to be carried
out. Sampling in this study using cluster sampling technique, where the sampling
technique is to take one class of office adminstration. The data collected by Pre-test,
treatment and post-test. Based on the result of the research that there is an effect that
last man standing method can improve students’ regular and irregular verb, however
the learning style by memorizing regular and irregular verb is not optimal because it
is recommended to the teacher to make learning variations to attract student interest
in learning. According to the students, the used of last man standing can make
learning more fun.
A. Conclusion
Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that last
man standing game affect students ability especially regular and irregular
verb at the eleventh grade students of SMK N 3 Bone. This has been proven
from the mean of pre-test was 39,69. The pre-test had a minimum score was
25 and a maximum score was 70. The mean of post-test was 75,31 with the
minimum score was 50 and the maximum score was 95. Based on the result
of hypothesis used Paired sample T-test at a significance level of 5% which is
a significant value (
