This research discusses how teacher teach vocabulary through blended
learning mode and students' perceptions of learning vocabulary through blended
learning mode at tenth grade of Madrasah Aliyah Al-Maarif Bilae. This research aims
to describe the way teacher teach vocabulary through blended learning mode and
students' perceptions of learning vocabulary through blended learning mode at tenth
grade of Madrasah Aliyah Al-Maarif Bilae. The type of research used is qualitative
research with the main data obtained by yourself and research directly collecting
information through observation, interviews and documentation results related to
vocabulary teaching through blended learning mode at tenth grade of Madrasah
Aliyah Al-Maarif Bilae. The research results show that teaching vocabulary through
blended learning mode at tenth grade of Madrasah Aliyah Al-Maarif Bilae means
that teacher tend to choose WhatsApp, YouTube and the Cake application as online
learning media. Concrete steps such as motivational messages on WhatsApp,
interesting videos and monitoring understanding of the material are implemented. The
students' perceptions of teaching vocabulary through blended learning received
positive responses. This model attracts students' interest in learning, provides easy
access and reduces boredom in learning. The role of a good teacher is also recognized
as an important factor in the success of this model.
A. Conclusions
The way teacher teach vocabulary through blended learning is based on the
data researcher, it can be concluded that the experience of teaching English
vocabulary using blended learning shows that teacher tend to choose WhatsApp,
YouTube and Cake applications as online learning media. Teacher take concrete
steps such as providing motivational messages on WhatsApp, presenting
interesting videos, and monitoring students' understanding of the material. The
obstacles faced involve the inability to observe student expressions, students'
reluctance to ask questions, and unequal internet access, which can affect the
interaction and connection between teacher and students in the overall online
learning process.
That the perception of tenth grade students at MA Al-Ma'arif Bilae
regarding teaching vocabulary through blended learning received a positive
response from students. This model, which combines face-to-face and online
learning, attracts students' interest in learning, provides easy access and reduces
boredom in learning. The role of a good teacher is also recognized as an important
factor.
B. Suggestion
To enhance the teaching of English vocabulary through blended learning,
diverse online media such as WhatsApp, YouTube, and other applications should
be utilized to provide students with varied learning experiences. Researcher
recommend that teacher continuously measure quantitatively how effective the
blended learning model is in improving students' understanding and mastery of
English vocabulary through collecting data such as exam scores, vocabulary tests,
or student satisfaction surveys. It is hoped that further research in the field of
teaching English vocabulary using blended learning can make a more significant
contribution to the development of language education.
