The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an use of the
Narrative Audiobook on students' reading comprehension. The researcher decided
the number of samples was SMPN 1 Sajoanging to be used as samples in this
study. This study used a quasi experimental time-series design to collect research
data using pre-test and post-test. The test of the results of this study, the average
value of the experimental group pre test (70.50) control group pre test (69.90),
and the sig. t-test 0.634>0.05 that there was no significant difference on the pre
test control and experiment. The means score of experimental and post test
(88.10) control group(79.00) and the significance value of the t test 0.00
