The Comparison Between E-Learning And Conventional Learning Approaches In English Learning At Ninth Grade Of Mts Negeri 1 Bone

This study aims to determine the comparison between the approach of E-
Learning and Conventional Learning in English Language Learning. This research
method uses quantitative data. Sampling in this study used cluster random sampling,
where the population was divided into several parts with the same number and then
selected randomly. The sample in this study was the ninth-grade students of MTs
Negeri 1 bone, totaling 32 students. This study used pre-test and post-test for the
experimental class which applied the e-learning approach treatment and the
controlled class which applied the conventional learned approach to obtain data. The
results of the study, data showed that the significance value of the two classes was
0.00 < 0.05, which means that the two classes had a significant difference between
the e-learning approach and the conventional learned approach
A. Conclusion
From a quantitative perspective, the findings and discussion data were
obtained in the previous chapter. The score was obtained from the pre-test and
post-test. It could be concluded that the higher approach was E-Learning with an
average score of 75.63, while the Conventional approach only gets an average of
58.31. Then in terms of the significance value between the two classes, namely
Experimental with the application of the E-Learning approach and Control class
with the application of the Conventional learning approach, that this was H1
accepted because the r-value Significance score ρ-value 0.00 < 0.05, this indicated
that there was a comparison between E-learning and Conventional Learning
approaches in English learning at Ninth grade of MTs Negeri 1 Bone.
In conclusion, it showed that most of the students in the experimental
class showed rapid improvement using the E-Learning approach compared to the
students in the control class who used the Conventional approach.
B. Suggestion
Based on the results of research on comparison between E-Learning and
Conventional Learning Approach in English learning at ninth grade of MTs
Negeri 1 Bone for the 2022/2023 academic year, researcher have student
suggestions for several parties, including:
1. For educational institutions in general, and MTs Negeri 1 Bone in
particular, it is necessary to make efforts to foster and train teachers
and students regarding modern learning approaches related to E-
Learning so that students can achieve optimal learning outcomes.
2. Teachers are expected to further improve in providing teaching,
direction, and coaching related to fun and creative learning so that
students become better and can improve student learning outcomes for
the better.
3. Students are expected to be able to create good and effective teaching
materials and learning resources and share existing knowledge.
