Simulation Technique In Speaking Fluency Of Indonesia Senior High School Students

This study aims to determine the technique of speaking in high school. This type of
research is descriptive qualitative with case study design. The participants were 25
students of class XII IPA 1. The results of data analysis showed that students were
interested, active, brave, and confident in learning English, especially speaking. The
researcher also found that students had positive perceptions of fluency in speaking
skill in term of both vocabulary and pronunciation because students could repeat what
the teacher said and give material students to practice their speaking skills more
often. It can train them pronounce English words correctly.
Researcher found that students liked English but were not confident when speaking
could be seen when speaking in front of the class, some students mastered the
material provided by the teacher and spoke fluently in front of class and memorized
vocabulary to make it easier to learn. In learning, the English language simulation
technique is applied to students how speak fluently in class and in front of the
teacher, this technique provides a process for students such as training students to
speak fluently by giving memorization to each student.
A. Conclusion
This study aims to determine the application of the simulationtechnique in
speaking fluency to practice speaking skills at SMAN 18 Bone. Based on the results
of the study, the researchers concluded that most of the students were very interested
and enthusiastic about in implementation of the simulation of students fluency
technique using the material and memorizing vocabulary memorization vocabulary
makes students more active in practicing English speaking skills, besides that it can
train them to pronounce English words properly and correctly, when they get new
words from out teachers explanation.
B. Suggestion
Based on the findings and discussion of the research, the researcher proposes
several suggestions as follows:
1. For English teachers
Considering the results of interviews from students regarding the simulation of
students fluency when learning English speaking skills, it is recommended to use and
make students interested. So the teacher is expected to use the material and give
students memorized vocabulary and use games while learning process, so that it can
direct students to practice speaking skills more often and therefore little by little
students can also improve pronunciation got new vocabulary.
2. For students
The students are suggested to be more aware of the importance of learning English in
this time of globalization. They have been able to English in many media, so they
have more that learned English at school because now we can learn English from any
available source.
