The Students’ Strategies in Solving Speaking Difficulties to the First Grade of Senior High School of SMAN 14 BONE.

This research contains about the students’ strategies in solving speaking
difficulties to the first grade of senior high school of SMAN 14 Bone. The
purpose of this research is to determine the students’ strategies in solving
speaking difficulties to the First Grade of Senior High School of SMAN 14 Bone.
This research used a qualitative method. Sampling in this research used a
purposive sampling technique, where the sampling technique was to take ten
students in class X IPS 2. The instruments of this research were observation,
interviews, and documentation. After that, the researcher made a transcription that
data reduction, data display, withdrawal of conclusions or verification on the
findings of this study. The results shows that based on the observations and
interviews that have been conducted, some students have lack of vocabulary and
confidence when speaking English because students have lack confidence to
appear in front of people and also have lack of insight into the vocabulary they
knows so that it is difficult for them to master English, about the strategies in
solving speaking the researcher applied role-playing, storytelling, and Game
whisper. And the result shows that students step by step can speak English and
can appear in front of people, although not all students can do this strategy, but
some students are able to do some strategies that have been applied.
A. Conclusion
Based on the findings and discussion in the previous chapter, the
researcher can conclude the student’s difficulties in speaking and student
strategies in class X IPS 2 SMAN 14 Bone.
Based on the observations and interviews that have been conducted, many
students have lack of vocabulary and confidence when speaking English because
students lack confidence to appear in front of many people and also lack of insight
into the vocabulary they know so that it is difficult for them to master English,
about the strategies in solving speaking the researcher applied role-playing,
storytelling, game whisper. And the result step by step students can speak English
and can appear in front of people, although not all students can do this strategy,
but some students are able to do some strategies that have been applied.
B. Suggestion
After covering the conclusions and the implementation of the research, the
researcher has some suggestions for the English teacher, students, and the next
researcher.
1. For the teacher
Suggestions for teachers, hopefully, the research conducted can provide
more motivation so that students are more active in learning to develop
English language skills.
2. For the students
The researcher hopes that this research can be a reference for students to
increase their knowledge about role play techniques then students can interact
more with teachers so that they do not experience difficulties in teaching and
learning activities.
3. For the other researchers
Suggestions for further researchers, hopefully, this research can be useful
for anyone who wants to take references in increasing the knowledge of
researchers about the use of role-play, storytelling, and Game whisper in
teaching speaking skills to students.
