The Influence Of Indonesia Madrasah Tsanawiyah Students’ Learning Styles On English Vocabulary Knowledge

This research was conducted to find out the influence of Indonesian Madrasah
Tsawiyah students’ learning styles in vocabulary knowledge. The approach of this research
used qualitative research with thematic analysis to finish the research question s . The
data collectio n methods were questionnaire, vocabulary test and semi-structure interview .
This study was a case study and used one class as a participant with five meetings. Knowing
student learning styles was important to help the learning process for both student and
teachers. Understanding students learning styles it can help student to find the best way to
study and improve their learning effectiveness. Moreover, based on qualitative data the
result of the research showed students dominant learning styles in one of the Indonesian
Madrasah Tsanawiyah schools was visual. However , knowing student dominant learning
styles if found useful and helpful as well as the influences of knowing and explored
students’ dominant learning styles help them for study vocabularies such as
interesting, easy to understand and memorize as well as the vocabulary knowledge of the
student was increase. Furthermore, even students have their own dominant learning
style it does not mean that student does not use the other learning styles because the
effectiveness of learning styles can only optimized if it was used it with other forms
of learning styles.
A. Conclusion
Based on the results of the analysis and discussion in the previous chapter, the
researcher concluded that dominant learning styles in one of Indonesian Madrasah
Tsanawiayah schools was Visual learning style. Moreover, knowing students’
dominant learning styles if found useful and helpful as well as the influences of
knowing and explored students’ dominant learning styles help them for study
vocabularies such as interesting, easy to understand and memorize. Furthermore, even
students’ had their dominant learning style it did not mean that students’ did not used
the other learning styles so there was nothing comparison to looking for the best
learning styles and in this research found that every student and their learning styles
had their own characteristic. Additionally, the effectiveness of learning styles can
only optimized if it was used it with other forms of learning styles.
B. Suggestion
Students’ as the subject of the research should be able to analyze their own
difficulties in learning based on their own especially about paying attention to learn
vocabularies or learning English as well as to the teachers should be able to
understand students learning styles that has differences each other, especially in
learning vocabularies. The types of learning styles have their own difficulties and
way to learn. Therefore, it can not be denied that one of the three learning style was
always be better in learning. Different characteristic of students needs different
treatment to deal with.
