The Influence Of Hello English Application Towards Students’ Learning Achievement In Vocabulary Mastery At The Eight Grade Of Mts. Al-Faaizun Watang Palakka

This study aims to find out the improvement of students‟ learning
achievement in vocabulary mastery. This research was conducted using quantitative
research method with Quasy Experimental research. The data was collected from 30
students in the 8th grade. 15 students were taken as the experimiental class and 15
students were taken as the control class. The data was collected using test; pre-test
and post-test as the instrument. The test was conducted to see if Hello English
Application has an influence on students‟ learning achievement in vocabulary
mastery. The result of the data analysis show that in the pre-test, the mean score of
experimental class is only 34 and become 57.3 in the post-test. Meanwhile, in the
control class, the mean score of the pre-test was 43 and the post-teset was only 39.6.
this shows that the class using the Hello English Application as the treatment showed
a significant increase.
A. Conclusion
After conducting research at MTs. Al-Faaizun Watang Palakka and after
the data were analyzed, it can be concluded that the Hello English Application
has an influence on increasing student achievement in vocabulary mastery. It can
be proven by the experimental mean value is much increased in the post-test
value meanwhile, the mean value of the control class did not increase. The post-
test scores which significantly increased in the experimental class after the
treatment was applied. In the pre-test experimental class, the mean score is only
34 and becomes 57.3 in the post-test meanwhile, in the control class, the mean
score of the pre-test was 43 and the post-test was only 39.6. This shows that the
class using the Hello English Application as the treatment showed a significant
increase.
Based on the independent sample t-test output, If the value of sig. (2-tailed)
0.05, then
there is no significant difference between the learning outcomes of the two
classes. The value of sig. (2-tailed) is 0.002. This shows that there is a significant
difference in the learning achievement of the two classes because of the sig. (2-
tailed) is under 0.05. From the data, it can be conclude that H0 is rejected and Ha
is accepted. This proves that Hello English has a significant influence on student
achievement in vocabulary.
Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that there is an effect of
using the Hello English Application on student learning achievement at the 8th
grade of MTs. Al-Faaizun Watang Palakka.
B. Suggestion
Based on the following conclusions, the researcher suggests the following
parties:
1. It is recommended that teachers use Hello English Application to increase
their students’ vocabulary mastery.
2. It is recommended for students working on all missions on Hello English
Application.
3. It is hoped that this thesis will be useful to both the researchers and the
readers. It is hoped that readers will learn about the use of Hello English in
English learning and teaching. It is expected that future researchers will
conduct research to discover another significance of Hello English
Application in other English language skills.
