The Effect of Writing Memorable Experiences by Using Diary to Encourage Student Writing Ability in EFLClassroom Setting at Eleventh Grade of SMAN 16 Bone

The main purpose of the research is to how is the effect of writing
memorable experiences by using diary to encourage student writing ability in EFL.
The research method used qualitatif method, which the researcher wants to know the
effect student writing ability by using diary . To collect the data, the resercher used
observation, interview and writing diary in EFL. The analysis of the data used collect
the data, the researcher gave change for student to write diary through writing English
language (EFL) and the researcher result student writing to collect the data. The
subject of research is the eleventh grade students of SMAN 16 Bone class XI MIA 1
which has 10 students writing diary. But the researcher just get the student like
writing diary is 6 students.
The result of the study, as follow: The researcher gets 6 students (like
writing diary), 4 students (they are not interesting writing diary), from the result
research student writing ability by using diary does not have a positive influence on
student writing ability.
A. Conclusion
Based on the data and analysis of researcher in chapter 3 (finding and
discussion) found analysis of students writing
still have errors in writing. So,
students who write diaries do not have a positive effect or do not affect students’
writing in English. Although the data found by students interested in writing a diary
but does not have a positive influence on students' writing ability. So, it still needs to
be re-trained in writing or doing things related to writing.
B. Suggestion
In view of the fact that the method of writing memorable experiences by
using diary to encourage students writing ability in EFL to be effective see
encourage students though writing memorable experiences because easy to
remember. The researcher would like to give suggestion as follows:
1. For Teacher
By this research, teachers are able to get information about the use of
diary to encourage student writing ability memorable experience, the teacher can
be explain what this experiences. The teacher should consider using diary writing
diary as the media to provide more writing practice to be students both in the
classroom and outside the classroom. Since writing is a skill, the more students
write, the better their writing will be. Writing the practice for train the student
skills especially their grammatical.
2. For Students
Research hopes students can write diary so, that way the student’ writing
will be better.t the students should more practice in their daily live to write as
many as they can even in simple or informal media like in social media diary
writing or in formal writing. Every day of writing the practice for train the student
skills especially their grammatical can though diary social media.
3. For the researcher
Expected it will be useful reference for the next research. The result of this
research can be used as one of reference for other researchers who want conduct
the similar study related to the use of diary writing with other types.
