The Implementation of Scanning Techniques in Improving Students’ Reading Comprehension in English on History of Islam At Eighth Grade of MTS Mursyidul Awwam Cenrana.

The aim of this research were to investigate the implementation of scanning
technique on history Islam to improve the students reading comprehension and to
know the students achievement by using this technique. The sample of this research
were the students at the eighth grade (VIII B) of MTS Mursyidul Awwam Cenrana.
They were selected by cluster sampling that consist of 24 students to study English by
using scanning technique on history Islam as a treatment.
Regarding the data analysis, this research were used pre-test and post-test to
analyze of using the scanning technique on history Islam to improve the students
reading comprehension and the researcher used an experimental design to gather the
data, while a quantitative method was used to analyze them or which is study to know
whether there was improvement or not to the subjek, that was given treatment.
The result of this research finally showed that the students reading
comprehension score in 72,0833 for their post-test was greater than the mean score of
the students in pre-test was 58,7083 or p-value(Sig.) was smaller than
alpha(0,00058,70) or significant(Sig) was smaller than
alpha(0,000
