The Use of Learning Styles to Improve Students Vocabulary Mastery at Eleventh Grade of Sman 26 Bone

This research presents about “The Use of Learning Styles to Improve
Students’ Vocabulary Mastery at Eleventh Grade of SMAN 26 BONE. The objective
of the research is to find out whether learning style to improve students’ vocabulary
mastery at eleventh grade of SMAN 26 BONE”. The dependent variable of this
research is vocabulary mastery and the independent variable is learning styles.
In this research, the researcher used pre experimental method that consisted of
pre test and post test design. The pre test was given before treatment and post test was
given after treatment to find out the students vocabulary mastery, the researcher used
cluster sampling, the sample of this research was XI IPS 2 that consisted of twenty
six students.
The result of this research showed that there was significant improvement of
the student vocabulary mastery by using visual learning style. It also could be proved
by the sig. (2-tailed) is 0,000 ≤ 0,05. It indicated that H 1 is accepted and Ho is
rejected. It is assumed that, there was significant difference between the students
vocabulary mastery after giving treatment. It is proven by the mean score of the
students of post test is higher than pre test. It means, that the use of visual learning
style can improve the students vocabulary mastery.
A.Conclusions
Based on the data analysis and discussion in the previous chapter, the
researcher conducted the result of this research showed that studying vocabulary
through visual learning style can improve the students’ vocabulary mastery. It can be
seen of the students in eleventh grade of SMAN 26 BONE that they have prior to
improve of vocabulary mastery before applying picture. then it can be proved that
there was a significant improvement of students’ vocabulary mastery after being
taught by using visual learning style. It was proved by the mean score in pretest and
posttest. In pretest, the mean of the students score is 64,92 and in the posttest it was
improved to be 81,88. It showed that the mean score of post-test was higher than the
mean score in pre-test and we can be seen in significance 2 tailed (p=0.000, p
