The Students’ Perception of using Blended Learning Model in English Learning at SMPN 1 Awangpone.

This research was conducted to find out students' perceptions about the use of the
Blended Learning Model ( face-to-face and online learning) in the English
learning process. This research was conducted using descriptive qualitative
research with three instruments, namely: observation, interviews, and
documentation. The subject of this research was conducted at SMPN 1
Awangpone class II or VIII C which consisted of ten students. The results showed
that the problems experienced by some students felt bored when learning through
online learning because they had to have a good internet connection. Therefore,
the teacher uses a blended learning model so that students do not feel bored and
the learning process can run well, so that the blended learning model is effectively
used, especially at SMPN 1 Awangpone. Based on questionnaires and interviews,
the results showed that students had a good perception and liked the blended
learning model in the English learning process.
A. conclusion
Based on the findings and discussions that have been presented in the
previous chapter on students' perceptions of the use of the blended learning
model in learning English at SMPN 1 Awanpone for the academic year
2021/2022. The researcher can conclude that students like the blended learning
model in learning English. This can be seen from, when researcher conducted
interviews with students, all students stated that they liked the blended learning
model learning process, when researcher made observations, students had
difficulty learning online learning because they needed a fast and stable
network connection. Therefore, the teacher uses a blended learning model so
that the student learning process runs well. Which, if the online learning
process is disrupted, the teacher will re-explain the material that has been
discussed in class, or other words when students do online activities at home,
what is not discussed in class, and get reinforcement in class. So that blended
learning is effectively used in the learning process, especially at SMPN 1
Awangpone.
B. Suggestions
After completing your research, some suggestions that may be useful
are as follows:
1. It is expected that English teachers always try to use blended learning in
the classroom.
2. In this research, it becomes input or consideration for many parties,
especially those engaged in English language education and other
educational institution.
3. Researcher suggest revising and following up on the discussion.
4. Researcher suggest to further researchers who will conduct research
elsewhere to conduct varied research because researcher assume that this
research was conducted in different places it will give different results.
