This research presents about The Effectiveness of Flowchart in Learning
Writing at the Eighth Grade of MTsN 1 Bone, This research usedquasi-experimental
method. The sample consisted of 30 students from the eighth grade of MTsN 1 Bone.
The students were placed into two groups: experimental group and the control group,
where each group consisted of 15 students. The data on the students’ writing skill
achievement were analyzed by using SPSS 25. The experimental group was given the
treatment writing procedure text by using flowchart media while the control group
was given treatment learning writing procedure text by using mind mapping.
The results of the research were (1) Using flowchart media in writing
procedure text was more effective in improved students’ skill about writing procedure
text at the eighth grade of MTsN 1 Bone. The comparison data between pre-testand
post-test of the experimental groupindicated that the mean score was improve where
the mean score of the experimental group in post-test was significantly higher than
the control group (85,73> 76,66). (2) Other results showed the student of the
experimental group was very highly motivated if the teachers used flowchart media in
writing procedure text. (3) The data was analyzed by using the significant
