This research is conducted about “The Effect of Reading Comprehension
toward the Translation Ability”. The objective of this research is to know the
significant effect of the reading comprehension toward translation ability.
The population of this research is 339 students. This research design uses
purposive sampling. The sample of this research is 20 students. The data is collected
by using students’ test and data is analyzed by SPSS (Regression)
The result show, that H 0 was rejected and H 1 was accepted. It was showed by
the sig value >0, 05 table (2,019 > 0, 05), it is means there is has significant effect of
the reading comprehension toward translation ability at eleventh grade students of
MAN 1 Bone
A. Conclusions
Base on the data analysis and discussion in the previous chapter, the
researcher concludes the result of this research show that reading
comprehension has significant effect to translation. It can be seen of the
students of XI MIA CI at MAN 1 Bone.
The result show, that H 0 was rejected and H 1 was accepted. It was
showed by the sig value > 0, 05 table (2,019 > 0, 05), it is means there is has
significant effect of the reading comprehension toward translation ability at
eleventh grade students of MAN 1 Bone
B. Suggestion
In view of the fact that reading comprehension has significant effect to
the students’ translation ability, the reseacher would like to give suggestions
as follows:
1. The teacher could use reading comprehension as references in teaching
translation. Therefore, the students were always stimulate the students’
interest and motivate them in learning translation. Also The teacher should
be creative moreover, the education system needs them to improve the
teaching skill according to the up to date technology. Now days, the internet
is widely used by lots of people. There are many websites that can be
accessed to get new technique in teaching. The equipment also should be
sophisticated and functioned perfectly to the students in class.
2. The students of IX MIA CI at MAN 1 Bone have to improve their ability in
English.
3. The other researcher is suggested that other researcher may use the research
results as information or a reference to conduct the research with the similar
topic in the same design the effect of reading comprehension toward the
translation ability with different subject.
