The Influence Of Teacher Motivational On Students Speaking Performance At The seventh Grade SMPN 1 Sibulue

This research discusses about the influence of teacher’s motivation on
students’ speaking performance. This research intended to know whether there is the
influence of teacher’s motivation on students’ speaking performance at the seventh
grade students of SMPN1 Sibulue. The independent variable is teacher’s motivation.
The dependent variable is students speaking performance. This research used
quantitative method which used questioner and test. The researcher used purposive
sampling method. The sample consists of 15 students from the seventh grade SMPN
1 Sibulue. The data on questioner and students’ speaking performance were analyzed
by using SPSS 21. After calculating the data, there was an influence of teacher’s
motivation on students’ speaking performance. It could be seen from r count > r table
(0.492 > 0.35). The data was analyzed by using the significant was 0.000 < 0.05. It
can be defined that H0 (null hypothesis) is rejected, and automatically H1 (alternative
hypothesis) is accepted. So, the hypothesis is accepted. It meant there was influence
of teacher’s motivation on students’ speaking performance.
A. Conclusion
Based on the data analysis and the discussion in the previous chapter, the
researcher concludes that:
Teachers’ motivation was proven to be more effective to influence on students
speaking performance of the seventh grade SMPN 1 Sibulue. It can be seen from the
score is “high” by getting mean score 82.67. While the students’ speaking
performance at seventh grade students of SMPN 1 Sibulue is “high” by getting mean
score 33.60.
It could be concluded that the data was analyzed by using the significant was
0,000
