The students writing ability in describing education poster at the eleventh grade students of SMAN 5 Bone

The aims of this research are to investigate the effectiveness of using a
method of describing education poster to students' writing ability and to determine
student achievement using this method. The research is analyzed in desriptive
quantitative. The sample of this research is the eleventh grade students (XI IPA 4)
of SMA 5 BONE. The research uses classes sampling to take 30 students as
sample. Regarding data analysis, this research uses the method education poster
to determine students' writing ability.
The results of this research shows that the students have good ability in
writing. It can be seen that the mean score of students writing is 78,23. So, it can
be concluded that by describing education posters, students’ writing ability are
known good.
A. Conclusion
By education posters, students can well easily write in terms of the
context, organization, vocabulary, language use and mechanic. Besides students
can think also what they should write by the poster. Because there is an image that
can be seen so that it makes it easier for the student can also teach students about
education values. Seen from the value obtained is 78,23 which is good.
B. Suggestion
In fact, implementing educational posters in teaching has proven to be
effective. So, the researcher wants to give some suggestions as follows:
1. English teachers must be creative in managing material that must be
integrated into the classroom.
2. English teachers must pay more attention to student writing in describing
a poster.
3. English teachers must apply educational posters in teaching.
4. English teachers must pay more attention to student writing
method of describing education poster to students' writing ability and to determine
