The Implementation of Teacher Bilingual in ELT to Improve Students Speaking Skill at The Eleventh Grade at MA Almubarak

The main aims of this reseacher were to improve students speaking skills
at MA Al Mubarak by using Teacher Bilingual in ELT. In this researh, the writer
conducted a classroom action research (CAR) which was done in two cycles. Each
cycle consist of planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The subjects of this
research are 13 students in eleventh graders of MA Al Mubarak. In collecting
data, the researher use that include Test (Pre-test, post test I and post test 2),
observation and documentation. The result of this research shows that Teacher
Bilingual in ELT have positive result in improving the students’ speaking skills
Among the eleventh graders of MA Al Mubarak. It can be proven by the students
average score from pre test to post test. It means that the using Teacher Bilingual
in ELT can improve the students’speaking skills.
A. Conclusion
In order to improve speaking proficiency of the eleventh grade students
of MA Al Mubarak, The Research implemented the classroom action research
to improve sudents speaking skill by using Teacher’s bilingual in ELT .The
research conducted pre-research before going to the real research in order to
identify the students. The preresearch included observing TL process, and
conducting pre-test to the students.
During the implementation, The researcher took role as the practitioner
or the teacher. The aim of the observation was to gather information about the
whole activities during the teaching learning process by implementing the
Teacher’s Bilingual in English learning teaching. The research was conducted
in two cycles and each cycle consists of two meetings. The research
conducted the post-test from each cycle in order to identify the improvement
of the students’ speaking proficiency.
Teacher bilingual in ELT can improve the students’ speaking skill. The
Students were achieving during teaching learning process. Use two language
which is students first language and foreign language is learning community
that made students more active. It made them enthusiast and more confidence
to speak English.
It was supported by the improved of their result score. It can be seen that
there was an improving from the score of post-test 1 and post-test 2. In the
post-test 1 students mean score 3,07 and the post 2 the students mean score is
4,61. It means that there was an improving score from post-test 1 and post-
test 2. It means that the result of the 2 cycle has already reached the indicator
of success and this research regarded finished.
B. Suggestion
1. For Students, suggested to:
a. Active in learning process especially English speaking subject.
b.Improved their speaking skills through bilingual Indonesia and English.
2. For English Teacher, suggested to:
a. Have various strategy like using bilingual Indonesia and English to teach
English,especially to improve the student’s speaking skill.
b. Prepared some books to improve their knowledge especially inEnglish
subject.
c. The teacher must not using full of English or Indonesia when teaching
English subject because it will not increase students English skill.
