The title of this research is Improving The Students’ Reading Ability
Through Parallel Reading Strategy at the Eleventh Grade of SMKN 7 Bone. This
study aimed to improved students’ reading skills by using parallel reading strategy
techniques. The research method used was a quantitative method. This design
used one group pre test and post test. The sample of this research was 26 the
eleventh grade students of class XI Multimedia 2. The technique used in data
collection was tests, which were 20 items of multiple choice reading tests. To
analyzed data the research using the spss application.
After giving the treatment at the experimental group of post-test, the
result there was three students got excellent classification (11.5%), eight students
got good classification (30.8%), ten students got fair classification (38.5%), and
five students got poor classification (19.2%).
At last, the null hypothesis (H ) was rejected and alternative hypothesis
(H ) was accepted, because The criteria H 1 was accepted if the sig. (2-tailed) is
0,000
