The Students’ Interest In Learning Listening By Using Audio Visual Media A Study At The Seventh Grade Of MTs Muhammadiyah Salomekko.

This research aims to determine whether students interest in learning listening
can be increased by using audio-visual media. This type of research involved 15
seventh grade students of MTs Muhammadiyah Salomekko. Data collection
techniques were carried out by means of interviews to students.
The results showed that the use Audio-visual media are interested by students’ in
learning English . Because according to them learning to use audio-visual media
makes the learning atmosphere more fun so that they feel more enthusiastic in
participating in learning, with this, students’ attention is increased and they can focus
more on learning. This is also proven by researchers with active students in asking
questions and in dialogue with his friend.
A. Conclusion
Based on the results of the anaysis and discussion in the previous
chapter, the researcher concludes the following description:
The use of audio-visual media are able increase student interest in
learning. The use of audio-visual media has a positive impact on them.
Especially in creasing their interest in learning and helping them to increase
their English vocabulary. They assume that they are making progress while
learning by using audio-visual media. Altough it is undeniable that some of
them are still confused and don’t pay attention to the material provided, they
are still enthusiastic and love learning English listening using media audio-
visual media.
B. Suggestion
Based on the research results and conclusions in this study, the researcher
provides the following suggestion:
a. For students
Students must be more serious in receiving the material and in doing
assigments, students are also expected to pay more attention to teacher
when given instruction.
b. For teacher
Advice given to teacher should can design lessons well which includes
planning, using techniques, and learning media that needed to make
learning more effective and more interesting. Teachers are also advised to
provide motivation and guidance to students in teaching and learning
activities so that students are more enthusiastic and interested in learning.
c. For further researchers
For further researchers, further research needs to be carried out to
improve the learning process that focuses on other competencies such as
writing, reading and listeningdevelop their profession and be able to
compete in making media even more interesting learning so that students
are more enthusiastic in study.
