Increasing Students Vocabulary Achievement Through Fly Swatter Game at the Eighth Grade Students of SMPN 2 Cina

This research is conducted about increasing students vocabulary
achievement through fly swatter game at the eighth grade of SMPN 2 Cina. In
conducting this research the researcher used an pre-experimental design to gether the
data, while a quantitative method was used to analyze them or whether there was
increase or not to the subject, that was given treatment. This research was taken by
the eighth grade of SMPN 2 Cina.The result of the analysis shows that fly swatter
game is useful to increase the students’ vocabulary achievement. In pre-experimental
can be shown by the diffrences of the mean score obtained by the students in the post-
test (89,52) is greater than the mean score of the students in pre-test (56,94).
A. Conclusion
Based on the data analysis and the discussion in the previous chapter, the
rsesarcher concludes that :
The result of this research showed that fly swatter game increase the
students vocabulary achievement. This is seen from the data that was collected by
the researcher in pre-test an post-test. The mean score of pre-test is 56,94 and the
mean score of post-test is 89,52. It indicated that they were considerable increase
their understanding vocabulary after the researcher gave the treatment to the
students by using fly swatter game in the treatment
B. Suggestions
In view of the fact that fly swatter game has been proved to increase the
students’ vocabulary achievement, the reseacher would like to give suggestions as
follows:
1. The teacher could use fly swatter gameas references material in teaching
vocabulary. The teacher could take material in teaching, especially in
teaching English vocabulary, but also the teacher should be creative
moreover, the education system needs them to increase the teaching skill
according to the up to date technology. Nowadays, the internet is widely
used by lots of people. There are many website that can be accessed to get
new teaching materials.
2. The students of the eighth grade SMPN 2 Cina have to increase their
achievement in English, especially vocabulary achievement.
3. For the other researcher, It is suggested that other researcher may use the
research results as information or a reference to conduct the research with
the similar topic in the same design to increase the students’ vocabulary
achievement with different subject.
