Using Visualization Technique in Teaching the Students’ English Vocabularies Mastery At MTs Cina

The purpose of this research was to investigate the use of visualization technique in
teaching the students‟ vocabulary mastery at MTs Cina. Based on the purpose, the
research intends to answer this question, “How is the implementation of visualization
technique for students‟ vocabulary mastery at MTs Cina?”. The researcher chose
MTs Cina as the place of doing research where she takes five students of the eighth
grade as the participant as a consideration that there are only a few students who have
the facility to come to learn by adjusting the current conditions. To keep abreast of
health protocols and also not overload students, then researcher only takes 5 students
who have good network access and also have a smartphone. In doing this study, the
writer uses descriptive analysis in form of qualitative. The first research step done of
the researcher is observation, by doing an observation. The researcher got information
about the condition of learning process of that school, the researcher also observes
students responses when applying the research starts from pre-teaching process until
post-teaching. Besides that, the researcher also uses interview as the additional data.
The researcher does interview with the students and also the teacher with the different
questions to know their statement about visualization technique on students‟
vocabulary. After doing observation and also interview, it found that the technique of
visualization can help students in understanding vocabulary without pressing the
students to memorize too much.
A. Conclusion
Based on the data analysis and discussion above, the researcher came to
conclusions. In answering the problem statement before, that was “how is the
implementing of visualization technique for students‟ vocabulary mastery at MTs
Cina?”, the researcher found the result by using observation which was done
twice and also interview with the English teacher and also the students, the
researcher concluded that there were a positive effect got from the using of
visualization technique in teaching vocabulary mastery. It proved that students
could join the process of observation calmly and following the instruction of the
researcher correctly. It was also found that the implication of the technique could
help students knew some of vocabularies without thinking too much and also
press them. It was supported by the result of interview showed that students and
also English teacher assumed that it was very helped where they enjoy the
technique used and stated it was help them in adding some vocabularies without
think of. In the end, by implementing visualization technique, the researcher
found that there was a positive result where the students‟ vocabulary
achievement got a changed by observed the result of test I and test II.
B. Suggestions
There are some suggestions that the researcher can propose after doing the
research as follows:
1. The teacher should give various practices to the students in using vocabulary
and search more information about linguistic and non-linguistic problem.
2. The teacher should search some information about technique or method in
teaching vocabulary mastery.
3. Students should learn more at home, find out anything related to English, not
only receive lessons at school.
4. The other researcher to investigate more difficulties in translating English text,
and to investigate the technique to teach translation in the classroom.
5. Students also can have a new fun technique to enrich their vocabulary mastery
and also support their other skills.
