An Analysis Of The Teacher Strategies In Teaching Descriptive Writing At The Eleventh Grade Students Of Sman 14 Bone

This study purposes to know the teacher strategy in teaching writing
descriptive at the eleventh grade at SMAN 14 Bone. The researcher chose SMAN 14
Bone as the place of conducting the research where she takes the eleventh grade of
SMAN 14 Bone students as partisipants included five students. This research was a
qualitative research. There are two instruments used in this research, they were
observation and interview. Firstly, the student was observed when they run learning
process where the researcher observed the learning process that had been given by the
researcher. In the next day, the researcher interviewed all of the participants that had
been chosen. it found that there were some strategies used by the teacher in teaching
descriptive writing, such as; the teacher gave a video about a descriptive text, besides,
she used the breakdown text and mind mapping method, the teacher involved
students to make a descriptive writing text by following by using the procedures and
method that had been told, the teacher also conveyed material via voice note, sending
material through WhatsApp, providing some examples of text that have been
explained to provide training to students to create their own descriptive sentences, the
last; the teacher gave the students correction for the text that have been made, the
teacher gave the students conclusion and also motivated the students to review and
practice the lesson in their free time.
Conclusion
Based on the research question, from the result in the previous finding of
observation and also interview, it found that there were some strategies used by the
teacher in teaching descriptive writing, such as; the teacher gave a video about a
descriptive text, besides, she used the breakdown text and mind mapping method,
