The title of this research is Students Perception Toward Gander-Based
Classroom Interaction In Learning Speaking Through Role Play At The Eleventh
Grade Of SMAN 2 Bone.The subject of this research is the Eleventh grade of SMAN
2 Bone.The researcher chooses eleventh grade as the subject of this research and the
interview just took 4 students from the class. This research used descriptive
qualitative design.Technique of data analysis consists of observational and
Interview.Observation and Interview focused on learning speaking in the appearance
of Role play in speaking. The result showed that students show have good learning
achuevement in speaking appearance. Nevertheless, The four students are not
comfortable in doing Gander role play. Component in speaking performance in doing
Role play is confidence and gesture, Not all a students have higt self-confidence in
this case students lack self-confidence so that in doing role play with their fellow
gander.
A. Conclusion
Student’s perception toward gender-based in classroom interaction.the
interview data from 4 the students. Students choose to play war between ganderers
because they are more enthusiastic about doing role play and they are interested in the
role play method.
Student’s interaction toward using role play in speaking skill in the
classroom.There are some students who are uncomfortable when they do role play,
but more students are compact when they do role play with fellow gamers because
they have matual confidence one another.
B. Suggestion
For students to increase concentration and motivation when playing the role
of the opposite sex, they must have mutual confidence in working together, because
without trusting in cooperation, activities in carrying out role play will not get
maximum results.
Teachers are expected to always pay attention to student achievement,
especially in teaching speaking in the role play method. As educators, teachers also
have to try to understand.
