The Effectiviness of Using Maching Game in Teaching Vocabulary to Enhance Students’ Speaking Ability (a study at the eigth of SMPN 1 Tonra)

The title of this research is the effectiviness of using maching game in
teaching vocabulary to enhance students’ speaking ability (a study at the eigth of
SMPN 1 Tonra). The study aimed to improve the students speaking ability matching
game in. This research used a quantitative method by giving text and observation. The
participant of this research was 13 students of VIIIB. The technique which was used in
collecting data was test. It consisted test orally. After giving the treatment of post-test,
the result showed that there was one student got enough classification (7,7%), twelfth
sudents got poor classification (92,3%). At the last, the null hypothesis (H₀ )was
rejected and interval hypothesis (H1) was accepted, because the criteria H1 was
accepted. Therefore, from the data, there was significance different of students
speaking ability brfore and after teaching Vocabulary through Matching Game method.
So, it can be concluded that Matching Game method in improved students’ speaking
ability.
A. Conclusion
After doing a reaserch in SMPN 1 Tonra, there were some conclusion
that can be concluded.Based on the data analisysis and discussion in the chapter 3,it
can be concluted that using Matching Game as a method in teaching vocabulary
improve students’ speaking ability. After using Matching Method, there was a
significance difference in students’ speaking ability. It can be proved by seeing the
result score and standard deviation of pre-test and post-test. The result score of pre-
test is poor. While, the result score of post-tes is improve from previous.
Then result score of students’ pre-test that is poor increased in post-
test. it means that the alternative hypothesis is accepted. In conclusion, the use of
Matching Game as a method in teaching vocabulary improve students’ speaking
ability at the eigtht grade of SMPN 1 Tonra.
B. Suggestion
1. The teacher must have many technique in teaching to make the students easly
in learning especially in teaching vocabulary
2. In learning vocabulary, the teacher should (something)use matching game to
motivate the student to speaaking ability.
