the use of MUF (Meaning Use Form ) Framework Technique to Improve Studens’ Writing Ability of Narrative Text at Tenth Grade of MA Yapit Taretta

This research aims to improve students writing ability through MUF (Meaning
Use Form) Framework technique at tenth grade of MA Yapit Taretta in academic
year 2019/2020.
This research used quantitative method by using experimental design with one
group pre-test and post test. The sample of this research consisted of 17 students at
tenth grade of MA Yapit Taretta. The researcher used purposive sampling technique
in this research. In collecting data, the researcher used pre-test, treatment and post
test.
The result of this research showed that students’ at tenth grade of MA Yapit
Taretta had inadequate score in pre-test. However, after doing treatment by Using
MUF (Meaning Use Form) framework technique to improve students’ writing ability
of narrative text got high score in post test. The data analyzed by using T-test and the
result shows that T-test value (14,016) was greater than t-table value (2,021). It can
be concluded that the use of MUF (Meaning Use Form) Framework technique is
effective to improve students’ writing ability of narrative text.
A. CONCLUSION
Based on the result of analysis in the previous chapter, the researcher
would like to make conclusion that the use of Meaning Use Form framework
technique to improve students’ writing ability of narrative text at the grade of MA
Yapit Taretta in academic year 2019/2020. It was proved by the result of students’
test. The table showed that mean score of the students in the post test (82,35) was
greater than mean score of the student students’ in pre-test (69,41%). Students’
writing ability in narrative text improved after the treatment.
The students’ writing ability in narrative text through MUF framework
technique was accepted. It was supported by the t-test value (14,016) was greater than
t-table value (2,201) for level if significance 0,005 or 5 % degree of alternative
hypothesis (H1) means that teaching writing through MUF framework technique can
improve the students’ writing ability in narrative text was accepted.
B. Suggestion
The researcher gives suggest to all readers and especially for teachers
and students that for improvement of the teaching English, the researcher suggests the
English teacher especially writing should give the good method in teaching English
based on the students’ motivation. Using the Meaning Use Form framework
technique is able to improve students’ writing ability.
Researchers in the future are suggested that they could use this research
finding to investigate the students, beside MUF framework technique to be expected
to be a reference for the teacher in teaching writing. One alternative teaching
technique hoped that it only used in writing but also for the other skill.
