Teaching Listening Comprehension on Dialogue by Using Information Transfer Technique at the Tenth Grade Students of MA Al Maarif Bilae

This thesis discusses about teaching listening comprehension on dialogue by
using information transfer technique. The aim of this research is to investigate the
effectiveness of teaching technique called information transfer technique at the tenth
grade of MA Al Maarif Bilae Academic Year 2018/2019. It is pre-experimental study
in one group pretest and posttest design.
The data is collected by using audio file and then analyzed by using statistical
calculation. The sample is class X consisted 11 students. The finding shows in pre
test there are 4 students who categorized into poor. 6 students categorized fair and 1
student who categorized good. In the post test, there are 2 students who categorized
into fair, 7 students who categorized good, and 2 students categorized very good.
From the comparison between pre test and post test, the researcher states that the
students are able to improve their listening skills on dialogue as a media by using
information transfer technique . The researcher assumes that use information transfer
technique in teaching listening effective and it is helpful in developing the
students listening skill.
A. Conclusion
Based on the findings and discussions above, the researcher comes to
conclusion. Students skill increased in learning listening comprehension on dialogue
by using information transfer technique at Ma Al Maarif Bilae at the Tenth Grade
students Academic Year 2018/2019 . it is proved by the result of students skills in pre
test and post test. The students ability increase based on their score in post test (72.
45) better than pre test (46. 72) which have different significant of their score in pre
test . It means that the value positively improve.
B. Suggestions
The researcher gives suggestion to all readers especially for teachers,
lectures, and students that :
For the improvement of teaching English, the researcher suggests to the
English teacher especially listening should give the good technique or method in
teaching English based on the students motivation. Using information transfer
technique and dialogue as a too or media can increase students listening skills.
