Identifying The Students’ Motivation in Studying Vocabulary by Using Gap Fill Sentence at The Second Year of MA Taccipi

This thesis presents about “Identifying The Students’ Motivation in Studying
Vocabulary by Using Gap Fill Sentence at The Second Year of MA Taccipi”. There
are 20 students of questionnaire and take 8 students as sample of interview of group
B at the second year of MA Taccipi in my research. This research uses qualitative
method. The researcher uses gap fill sentence to improve the students motivation in
studying vocabulary.
This thesis aims to how are the students’ motivation in studying vocabulary
by using gap fill sentence that use questionnaire and interview as an instrument of the
research. By using gap fill sentence, the students will feel happy and make it easy for
the students in the learning process.
The result of this research is most of students are interested to use gap fill
sentence. Gap fill sentence make an increasing students’ vocabulary and knowledge.
They can concentrate in learning. They know about a new vocabulary and understand
the lessons. Learning by using gap fill sentence make the students enjoy and help
them understand the lessons.
A. Conclusion
Based on the result of data analysis and discussion in the previous chapter, the
researcher concluded that students of the second year of MA Taccipi are motivated to
study vocabulary by using gap fill sentence. Learning process by using gap fill
sentence is not bored for the students. Gap fill sentence make an increasing in
students’ vocabulary. They know about a new vocabulary. They can memorize many
vocabularies and understand the lesson. They are active to study when learn by using
gap fill sentence. Learning by using gap fill sentence make the students enjoy and
help them understand the lesson.
B. Suggestion
Based on the conclusion above, the researcher put some suggestion as
follows:
1. The researcher suggests the English teacher to use gap fill sentence to exploit
the positive effect of gap fill sentence that provide many advantages in
learning English specially in writing and vocabulary.
2. The researcher suggests the students in learning English by using gap fill
sentence to know more and easy to learn.
3. For the other researcher, It is suggested that other researcher may use the
research results as information or a reference to conduct the research with the
similar topic in the same design to improve the students’ motivation studying
vocabulary.
