The Effectiveness Of Arranged Ideas In Reading Comprehension At The Eight Grade Students Of Mts Al-Hidayah Bakke

The script presents the research about effectiveness of arranging ideas in reading comprehension at the eighth grade students of MTs Al Hidayah Bakke. The problem statement of this research is “Is arranging ideas effective in students’ reading comprehension at the study at the eighth grade students of MTs Al Hidayah Bakke?’
The method in this research is quantitative method. It employed reading test. This population of this research is 58 students from eighth grade student. The researcher use purposive sampling technique and take 29 students from VIII B class as the sample. The reading test was given in both pre-test and post-test. The test is used to find out the data about the students’ reading comprehension through arranging ideas.
Based on the results of the research, the descriptive analysis shows that the students’ comprehension is effective after receiving treatment by material of arranging ideas. It can be inferential with the t-test (4, 96) which is greater than the t-table value (2.04). The mean score by the students in the post-test (85,34) is greater than the mean score of the students in pre-test (60). This is an evidence that through arranging ideas is effective to develop the reading comprehension at the study at the eighth grade students of MTs Al Hidayah Bakke.
A.Conclusion
Based on the result of the data and discussion in the previous chapter, the researcher write down a conclusion as “teaching and learning English especially to see the students’ reading comprehension through aranging ideas can run well to enrich knowledge and develop the students’ comprehension”. In this research, it is provided with t-table is bigger than t-test value”.
The result of this research is the t-test value (4, 96) which is greater than the t-table value (2.04). The mean score of the students in the post-test (85, 34) is greater than the mean score of the students in pre-test (60). It means that the students are in good, very good or excellent category in reading comprehension through arranging ideas.
B.Suggestion
Based on the results of data analysis and conclusion, the writer put forward the following suggestions:
1.Realizing the importance of identifying the students’ ability in reading comprehension, especially for those who wants or has that material of teaching shall make it clear about the students’ understanding about reading comprehension.
2.To make students are more motivated to learn about reading comprehension, the teacher shall chose the suitable approach and create an attractive learning process by using various technique and media, not monotone, to develop students’ reading skill.
3.The English teacher shall pay much attention to the student who has not participated in learning and doesn’t have a good understanding of reading comprehension by motivating them to take a part in learning especially for having reading comprehension ability.
4.The students of MTs AlHidayah Bakke Bone Regency shall practice more about how to have a clear understanding in reading comprehension through arranging ideas to fulfill their skill especially in reading.
