Sunarti/02.13.4003 - Personal Name
This research aims to find out the significance language acquisition of
disability child. The researcher used qualitative approach by giving observation and
interview. The result of the research showed us that the inhibiting factor of language
acquisition is different for each disability child depending on the child’s individual
use. For celebral palsy is good like a normal child although his body bodies have
limitations. He has good articulation, pronunciation, sentence structure and fluency
when he was communicated with other. Whereas in mentally retarded is due to
limitations on the brain so she is slow to respond and understand what we say to her.
We should be repeated the word until she understand. But her articulation,
pronunciation is good. While the language acquisition of disability child equal with
normal child. It is just that there are some disadvantages such as mentally retarded
slow in obtaining the language acquisition or they are slow in responding and
understanding what we say.
A. Conclusion
Based on the result of the analysis in the previous chapter, the researcher
can conclude that is :
1. The inhibiting factor of language acquisition is different for disability child in
every disadvantage. For celebral falsy that is physical disability from birth so
he difficult to move and write the lesson when studying in the school. While
mentally retardid that is the limitations of their brains so they so slow to
respond or understand what we say. So, we should be repeated the word until
they understand.
2. The language acquisition for disability child equal with normal child. For
celebral falsy his articulation, pronunciation, sentence structure and fluency
are good. And then mentally retardid, she speaks fluently and clearly. But she
takes a long time to understand and then respond what we say. We should be
repeated the word until she understand.
B. Suggestion
There are some suggestions in relation with the implementation of lesson
plan that hopefully can be useful for teachers when teaching the disability child in
the classroom and also for researchers who will discuss about language
acquisition of disability child.
a. For learners
The learners can study how the language acquisition of disability child and
the inhibiting factors of disability child.
b. For teachers
Teachers must be patient when teaching the disability child and can help
the disability child to discover and develop their talents.
c. For researcher
The researcher realizes that there are still some weaknesses in this paper so
the reader of the students who want to study about the language acquisition of
disability child are suggested to read some references as the comparison of this
because requires a special attention to improve the understanding about the
language acquisition of disability child.
