Speech Style Description in Teaching English to Attract Students Learning Attention at the Eleventh Grade of Darul Huffadh Tuju-Tuju Bone

This script was about speech style in teaching English to motivate the
students in learning, it aimed at finding out to attract the students in learning attention
at the eleventh grade of Darul Huffadh Tuju-Tuju Bone.
The method used in this research was qualitative descriptive and the
population of the research was the eleventh grade of Darul Huffadh Tuju-Tuju Bone
Regency which consisted of 56 students. The sample consisted 20 students which
taken by using random sampling. To collect the data of the research used a
observation and questionnaire it purposed to know the students’ attention in learning
English by description speech style in teaching English
The result of the research has shown that the students’ attention in learning
English by description speech style in teaching English it proved based on the
researchers’ observation and the students’ respondent from the questionnaire.
A. Conclusion
Based on the result of the students attention and speech style, the researcher
concludes as following:
1. Researcher found the students attention base on the result of the questionnaire
about 80%. It mean that the students attention is reasonable but it need to be
improved more be better.
2. The researcher found 3 speech styles teaching English in MA Darul Huffadh
Tuju-Tuju Bone Are Formal Style, Consultative and Casual Style.
B. Suggestion
Based on the conclusion above, the researcher puts forward the following
suggestion:
1. The English teacher should pay much attention to be appropriate technique that
will be applied in teaching English.
2. The English teacher should be develop the ability of the students in speaking
by giving the students more chance to practice their speak English.
3. Finally, the researcher hopes other researcher to be more motivated in
conducting further investigation to find the main factors which can effect the
possitive instructional activity.
