An Analysis of the Students’ Abilities and Difficulties in Reviewing Movie At The Sixth Semester Of English Study Program Of IAIN Bone

A. Conclusion Based on the result of data analysis and discussion in the previous chapter, the researcher concluded that the students of the sixth semester of English study program group 3 of IAIN Bone of their writing reviewing movie. 1. The students’ abilities By 10 students, there is one student got excellent, there are two students got good, there are two students got fair and there are five students got unsatisfactory of their writing review so, it can be concluded that their ability is still low about writing review and they still need much knowledge about writing reviewing movie. 2. The students difficulties In other hand, there are ten students have difficulties in reviewing movie. They lack of vocabularies, some of the they have nothing to say, they are bored with the movie, there are some students cannot understand about the meaning of the movie and there is one students does not like review movie by writing. Therefore, it can be concluded that not all the students can review the movie. There are some difficulties that the students get in writing reviewing movie process likes the researcher has found in analysis of the students’ writing review and it can be proof that the result of the students’ wring reviewing movie is unsatisfactory.
B. Suggestion
A book review, like a movie review, consists of a summary and analysis.
Writing review helps to develop analytical and interpretive skills. What message did
the film or book convey, how did the director or author convey that message, through
what scenes, language, arguments, camera angles, reviewers must be able to analyze,
or break apart, a text or film
1. For the English Teacher
From the recent findings show that students still do not understand what
review is, especially about how to make writing review well because they never
study about review. The lecturer should be able to increase and improve their
student’s knowledge and their knowledge about writing composition especially in
writing reviewing movie because it will help the students to develop their
analytical and their interpretive skills.
2. For the Next Researcher
Here, the researcher suggests to the next researcher can analyze the
student’s perception in writing reviewing movie.
