A Sociolinguistic Analysis on Teacher Classroom Talk in MTs As’Adiyah No. 39 Itterung

Speech act is one of the important factors that support students' success in the
learning process. There are several methods in speech acts that can be used by the
teacher. It is important to know the methods and reasons why the teacher uses the
method.
This research focuses on the analysis of speech acts that are often used by
teachers in teaching. The purpose of this study was the teacher at MTs As'Adiyah No.
39 Itterung. The data of this study were taken from observation and interviews of
teachers and students.
Based on the result of data analysis, the researchers can conclude that the
teacher prefers to use perlocutionary actions compared to other actions because with
this action the teacher can get a positive response from students and students can also
easily understand the material.
A. Conclusion
1. In this research, the result shows that the teacher always use perlocutionary
acts compared the others method because by using the method the teacher got
feedback immediattly of the students.
2. The researcher concluded that the teacher preferred perlocutionary actions
because this action had a positive impact on him.
Based on the results of the above research, researchers can conclude that the
teacher prefers to use perlocutionary actions compared to other actions because with
this action the teacher can get a positive response from students and students can also
easily understand the material.
B. Suggestions
The researcher wants to give some suggestions to the teacher and students of
VIII in MTs As’Adiyah No. 39 Itterung and also to the other researcher that might be
useful. The suggestions are:
1. For the teacher
The teacher must provide the right method because this will have an
impact on how students interest in a material so that their knowledge can increase.
2. For the student
Students must be more interested in learning English. They should think
that English is fun and easy to understand. People who speak English are cool
because English is not just a language but it is a life style. By assume like that, will
motivate students in learning English.
3. For other researcher
The results of this study are expected to encourage other researchers to
conduct further research related to teacher speech acts in teaching or providing
material using the right methods so as to make students interested in the material
