Improving the Student Reading Comprehension through Read,Cover, Remember, Retell (RCRR) strategy at the fourth Semester of English Studty Program at IAIN Bone in Academic Year 2017/2018

The objective of this researcher is to find a good strategy to improve the students' reading comprehension. This research use experimental method as a research design and quantitative method. The population of this research are the students at the fourth semester of English Study Program at IAIN Bone in Academic Year 2017/2018, they are selected by using cluster sampling that consist of 21 students. This research is conducted with applying the Read, Cover, Remember, Retell Strategy as a treatment to improve the students reading comprehension. The researcher use pre-test and post-test as a instrument to know the students‟ improvement in reading comprehension before and after applying the treatment.
The result of the students‟ mean score before and after treatment, the mean score obtained by the students in the post-test (78,33) is greater than the mean score of the students in pre-test (76,43). It assumes that the effects of Read, Cover, Remember, Retell Strategy are very helpful to improve students' reading comprehension because there are significant readings from students after treatment is done
A.Conclusions
Based on the data analysis and discussion in the previous chapter, the researcher concluded the result of this research show that studying reading comprehension through Read, Cover, Remember, Retell Strategy is one of material that can improve the students‟ reading comprehension. It can be seen from the table of both score show that students‟ mean score in post-test (78,33) is higher than the mean score of the students in pre-test (76,43). Based on this explanation it can be understood that The students reading comprehension after applying Read, Cover, Remember, Retell Strategy significantly improve their reading comprehension.
B.Suggestions
In view of the fact that Read, Cover, Remember, Retell Strategy has been proved to improve the students‟ reading comprehension, the reseacher would like to give suggestions as follows:
1. The teacher could use Read, Cover, Remember, Retell Strategy as references strategy in teaching reading comprehension. Therefore, the teacher were always stimulate the students‟ interest and motivate them in learning reading comprehension. Also The teacher should be creative
moreover, the education system needs them to improve the teaching skill according to the up to date technology. Now days, the internet is widely used by lots of people. There are many website that can be accessed to get new teaching Strategy.
2. The students of the fourth semester of English Study Program of IAIN BONE can improve their interest in English, especially reading comprehension.
3. For the other researcher, it is suggested that other researcher may use the research results as information or a reference to conduct the research with the similar topic in the same design to improve the students‟ reading comprehension with different strategy
