Identification the Student’s Motivation in Learning English Narrative Writing at the Sixth Semester of English Educational Program in STAIN Watampone

This research is aimed at finding out the Student’s motivation in learning English narrative writing at the sixth semester of English educational program in STAIN Watampone. The respondents of this research are the students at the sixth semester consist of five students. The purpose in this study how is the student’s motivation in learning English narrative writing. This type of the research is descriptive qualitative, which is strategic choice qualitative descriptive approach becomes the strategic choice. The source of the data in this study from the students, books and student’s writing. The technique of data collection is done with text, observation, and questionnaire. Data analysis techniques used in this research is qualitative, data analysis tecnique that consists of data reduction, calculting the student’s correct answer of the questionnaire, describe the data and make conclusions based on the description of the data. Research results are analyzed, showing that: The student’s motivation in learning English narrative writing is done well and the student’s motivation is very high. Students tend to be motivated in narratives writing of English. Because, they are in a family with a background of having a high education, are in an environment accustomed to the fluent demands of communicating English. Students are also taught about the basics or writing steps in the early semester. Before stepping on the material or learning about writing they were previously given theories, the initial step before writing, the benefits and the purpose of the writing itself. So indirectly, this becomes one of the factors that exist in students who become the reasons or the urge to write, especially narrative writing personal experience.

Once described in the previous chapters about identification of the students’ motivation in learning English narrative writing at the sixth semester in STAIN Watampone then the conclusion can be drawn as follows:
Students tend to be motivated in writing narratives of English because they are in a family with a background of having a high education, are in an environment accustomed to the fluent demands of communicating English. Students are also taught about the basics or writing steps in the early semester. Before stepping on the material or learning about writing they were previously given theories, the initial step before writing, the benefits and the purpose of the writing itself. So indirectly, this becomes one of the factors that exist in students who become the reasons or the urge to write, especially writing narrative personal experience.
B.Suggestions
1.The English teacher should be more creative to choose method or strategy in teaching-learning process especially in writing. So that, the students will be more interested and enjoy to study English. Not only that, the English teacher should make something to motivate the student when they are admitted.
2.For the next researcher can create a method to easily motivated the students. Motivation levels on every student is different, so it's important to seek out and develop new methods to motivate students when studying or doing something.
